The aftermath left the Mawkin completely wiped out from the historical record of ZDR, save for their leader, Raven Beak. His survival became the seed of a decades-long vendetta against the Thoha lineage. When Samus Aran was found and raised by the Thoha, she inadvertently became the symbol of everything the Mawkin opposed. This deep-seated hatred drove Beak to ally with the Space Pirates, orchestrating the X Parasite outbreak on ZDR specifically to destroy the last remnants of his tribe's enemies through biological warfare.
